Sources: IOI's notes for 1.0.1, 1.0.2, 1.0.3, 1.0.4 on Steam, 1.0.5, 1.1.0, 1.1.1, path tracing, 1.2.1, 1.2.2, 1.3.0, 1.3.1, 1.3.2.
IOI's notes number the story missions 00 to 10 (00 Against the Odds to 10 For England), and "Chapter 04" in a patch note means IOI's mission 04, The Past Never Dies, not a guide site's chapter 4. The Missions List explains the two numberings.
Hotfix 1.3.2 (Oct 29, 2026)
1.3.2 sorted out an outfit mix-up. The outfit handed out as "The Grey Standard" for linking an IOI Account is now called "Heritage Tailoring", and players who claimed it keep it. The real "The Grey Standard" is now a TacSim unlock for 6,000 Intel at Clearance Level 15, with no IOI Account needed. A new outfit, "Midnight Recon", was added, and IOI says details on how to unlock it "will follow soon". The Outfits and Unlocks page tracks all three.
The fixes:
- A rare crash in the mission 04 escape drive cinematic with path tracing on.
- Valhalla Protocol challenges failing to award Intel or XP, drivers getting stuck or launched on the rocks by the lumber mill, cars wedged between police cars after a ramp jump in the Day version, and a "Flight" challenge whose air time needed one ramp used over and over.
- The "Positively Shocking" achievement failing when one enemy tasered another, and the PS5 dashboard showing under 100% after the campaign.
- Photo Mode stretching Bond's clothes when he is rotated, and outfit stretching in the mission 01 riding scene in New Game+.
Hotfix 1.3.1 (Oct 7, 2026)
1.3.1 fixed a rare crash on the secret cellar stairs in mission 03, a rare PC crash at launch, "The Grey Standard" not unlocking after linking an IOI Account, and TacSim scores lost when the connection dropped.
Update 1.3.0: Extended Operations (Oct 1, 2026)
1.3.0 went live at 12:00 UTC. It is the free Extended Operations DLC, and the downloads were 11.9 GB on PS5, 14 GB on Steam, 13.5 GB on Xbox Series, 8 GB on Microsoft Store PC and 13.6 GB on Epic. It added:
- New Game Plus after a finished campaign, with Mission Warderobe (IOI's spelling) and Gadget on Demand.
- The 00 Difficulty, unlocked by finishing the campaign.
- Photo Mode.
- Two TacSim modes: the Valhalla Protocol driving activity (playable from Oct 5) and the Jungle Heist operation in Vietnam.
- TacSim unlocks: the Storm 12 Gauge (Clearance Level 20, 6,000 Intel), the Squire Marksman Rifle (Clearance 18, 4,000 Intel), and three free outfits, "Observant Spy" (19), "Leasure Beam" (15, IOI's spelling) and "First Class" (15).
- Jack the Bulldog, who sits beside Dr. Selina Tan's TacSim area at MI6 and can be petted.
- Smoother reloads, aim transitions and weapon swaps; enemies can now throw Bond off ledges, as he could already throw them.
- A 60 fps performance mode on Xbox Series S (see PS5 and Xbox Performance Modes) and FSR Frame Generation for AMD cards on PC.
IOI counted "over 700 fixes and improvements" across crashes, progression blockers, clipping, audio, localization and menus, including the PS5 Platinum and "For Your Eyes Only" trophy problems and an exploit for gaining Focus. One fix mentions a "PC Game Pass" issue with the "What if...?" achievement; IOI has not explained that line, and the game is not on Game Pass (see Platforms and Game Pass).
Hotfixes 1.2.1 and 1.2.2 (Sep 17 and Sep 25, 2026)
Both followed the PC path tracing update. 1.2.1 fixed GPU crashes and hangs with path tracing on in missions 01, 03, 06 and 09 and a crash after the mission 03 debrief, and IOI said it was working with NVIDIA on path tracing performance. 1.2.2 improved path tracing performance in missions 03, 06 and 08, cut stutter when starting online Escalations, and fixed path traced visuals from mission 00 to the epilogue. Digital Foundry's DF Direct of Sep 30, 2026, testing the newest patch on an RTX 5070, found path tracing "much more in line" with what it expected, and the driving section that had fallen to the 20s "now running just fine".
The path tracing update (Sep 15, 2026)
On Sep 15, 2026, IOI and NVIDIA added full path tracing and DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction on GeForce RTX cards, with FSR Upscaling 4.1 for Radeon RX 7000 and 9000 cards. IOI's site has no notes page numbered 1.2.0; this update is the step before 1.2.1. Digital Foundry first found it "transformative" but heavier than any path tracing game it could remember, with an RTX 5070 seeming to run out of memory. Settings and GPU advice are on PC Performance and Path Tracing.
Patch 1.1.1 (Aug 27, 2026)
1.1.1 (its notes page is dated Aug 28) fixed a black screen and crash at launch on PC, a rare crash after pausing in the Advanced Training in Malta, and achievements not unlocking on every platform.
Update 1.1.0: Behind Enemy Lines (Jul 24, 2026)
1.1.0, the first full patch, went live at 09:00 UTC with fixes for "over 200 issues". The PS5 download was 23.84 GB, against 3.6 GB on Steam. It added two three-tier TacSim Escalations, The Workshop and Extraction Avenues, and four rewards at 3,000 Intel each: the Stormberg 50'cal (Clearance Level 10), DRX-2 Machine Pistol (12), DRS-7 Silenced SMG (16) and the outfit "Diamond in the Rough" (18). It fixed five crashes, mostly on Xbox Series S, about 20 achievement and challenge bugs (among them "A Legacy of Spycraft", "For Your Eyes Only", "Keep Moving Forward" and "Recovered Assets"), and cutscenes that played at double speed after standby or alt-tab.
Updates 1.0.4 and 1.0.5: the withdrawn patch (Jun 11 and Jun 15, 2026)
1.0.4 came out on Jun 11, 2026 and left the game unplayable offline on every platform, so IOI reverted it. 1.0.5 on Jun 15 brought 1.0.4's fixes back with offline play restored. It also made Microsoft Store PC updates smaller (1.25 GB that time), reduced out-of-memory crashes, and fixed corrupted PC saves, a PS5 Pro crash when buying gadget upgrades in TacSim, PCs that picked a low-power GPU, six collection achievements, and a bug that let Bond carry more than one primary weapon, which was tied to PS5 save corruption.
Updates 1.0.1 to 1.0.3 (May 28 to Jun 4, 2026)
1.0.1, the day after launch, fixed a crash in the Bond and Moneypenny cutscene after the title sequence, a crash after leaving M's office, a crash after mission 05, mission 06 guards turning hostile straight after the CCTV room, characters walking through walls, and Deluxe items missing on Epic. 1.0.2 fixed a PS5 crash in the opening cinematic of mission 00, a frequent GPU crash, PC texture errors, Steam achievements that would not trigger, and blockers in missions 01 to 10, including falling off the Emperor Suite roof. On the Microsoft Store PC build, 1.0.1 and 1.0.2 were downloads of 46.79 GB and 57.2 GB, which IOI said it would address "within the next two updates". 1.0.3 fixed TacSim challenges that did not count as complete the first time. Mortismal Gaming's May 29, 2026 review, played on PC, reported three or four crashes in about 20 hours and some stutter in big action scenes.
Where IOI posts patch notes
IOI publishes full notes on its patch notes page and copies them to the game's Steam announcements. Known issues and support live on IOI's support center. Some outlets name updates by the console build number instead: MP1st calls 1.0.5 "Update 1.013" and 1.1.0 "Update 1.016".
What comes next?
IOI has not dated another update as of Nov 4, 2026. The open items are the Mauritania TacSim content from the Year One Roadmap, the unlock for "Midnight Recon", and the Nintendo Switch 2 Version on Mar 18, 2027.
