The Valhalla Protocol is a set of four TacSim driving missions in 007 First Light, playable since Oct 5, 2026. Bond drives an armed Aston Martin Valhalla through the Slovakian mountains by day and by night, shooting targets with machine guns and missiles for time bonuses and a high score.
The Valhalla Protocol is four TacSim driving missions in 007 First Light, set in the Slovakian mountains, each played by day and by night, in an Aston Martin Valhalla armed with the weapons Bond uses in the campaign. You take down targets to earn time bonuses and chase the highest score; IOI's notes list the car's weapons as machine guns and missile launchers and call it an "activity", not an Escalation or Operation. It shipped in the free Extended Operations update on Oct 1, 2026, and IOI announced it as playable on Oct 5, 2026. The missions were, IOI says, "teased in the game at launch".

How does the Valhalla Protocol work?
Each mission is a timed drive. Shooting targets on the route adds time, and the aim is the highest score. The day and night versions of a mission have their own sets of challenges, which pay Intel and XP like the rest of TacSim. IOI's Oct 6, 2026 Steam post called the car "fully kitted out and weaponized". IOI has not published the four missions' names as of Nov 4, 2026, and its posts do not say how they unlock beyond the update.
The Slovakian mountains are the setting of the campaign's mission 03, All the Time in the World at the Grand Carpathian Hotel. A return to "Slovakia's mountain slopes in the Aston Martin Valhalla" was the second item on the Year One Roadmap of Jun 5, 2026. For the campaign's own chases, see Driving and Chases.
What did Hotfix 1.3.2 fix?
Hotfix 1.3.2 on Oct 29, 2026 fixed four Valhalla Protocol problems:
- Challenges that could fail to award Intel or XP.
- Rocks beside the lumber mill where the car could get stuck or be launched into the air.
- A spot in the Day version where the car could be wedged between police cars after a high-speed ramp jump.
- The "Flight" challenge, whose air time could only realistically be reached by using one ramp again and again; it can now be done in a normal run.
What is the real Aston Martin Valhalla?
IOI's post gives the real car's facts: Aston Martin revealed it in November 2025 as its "first-ever mid-engine plug-in-hybrid supercar", it brings Formula 1 engineering and aerodynamics to a road car, and only 999 will be made. IOI gives no power figure. Its Nov 20, 2025 reveal video, made before release, shows the car in a Q Branch workshop with captions for a V8 hybrid powertrain (a 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine with three electric motors) and a "Q-Type" machine gun turret.
