Photo Mode

007 First Light's Photo Mode was added free on Oct 1, 2026 in update 1.3.0. Open it from the Pause menu or bind it to a button in the input settings; it freezes the game and offers seven tabs of camera, image, frame, effect, lighting and pose tools.

To open Photo Mode in 007 First Light, pause the game and pick Photo Mode from the Pause menu, or bind it to any button in the input settings for near-instant access, as IOI explains. The game freezes and seven tabs of tools open: a free camera, depth of field, effects such as film grain and letterbox, color filters, up to four lights, and poses for Bond. Photo Mode arrived with the free Extended Operations update, 1.3.0, on Oct 1, 2026, and IOI posted its guide on Oct 4, 2026. It was not in the game at launch.

What can you do in Photo Mode?

IOI's Oct 4, 2026 post says seven tabs open but does not name them. It lists these tools:

Group Tools
Basics Hide the interface, pose Bond, hide Bond from the shot
Camera Free camera movement, field of view, roll, depth of field, autofocus, aperture
Image Brightness, saturation, post-processing filters
Frame Backgrounds and logos
Effects Vignetting, film grain, letterbox, radial blur, chromatic aberration, color filters
Lighting Place up to four lights
Composition A rule of thirds guide

Two of IOI's own tips: a low aperture blurs the surroundings to pick out the subject, and saturation at 0 gives a black and white image. Bond's pose can be changed "during most of the gameplay", so some moments do not allow posing; IOI does not list which. Your settings are kept when you leave Photo Mode.

Known issues

Hotfix 1.3.2 fixed Bond's clothes stretching or clipping when he was rotated in Photo Mode. No other Photo Mode issue is listed in IOI's notes as of Nov 4, 2026. Outfits to dress him in are on Outfits and Unlocks; New Game Plus lets you change them mid-mission.
