Outfits and Unlocks

007 First Light's outfits come from the paid editions (four Deluxe outfits, the Specialist Edition's Classic Tuxedo, Obsidian Gold in the Collector's and Legacy), from TacSim unlocks bought with Intel at a Clearance Level, and from free events such as the IOI Account and Twitch drops. The Switch 2 Deluxe Edition adds the GoldenEye Suit.

007 First Light's outfits come from three places: the paid editions, TacSim unlocks bought with Intel once you reach a Clearance Level, and free reward events. The Deluxe content gives four outfits (Day of the Dead, Desert Explorer, Silent Anchor and Gentleman Operator), the physical Specialist Edition alone has the Classic Tuxedo, and the Collector's and Legacy Editions add Obsidian Gold. TacSim sells "Diamond in the Rough", "Observant Spy", "Leasure Beam", "First Class" and, since Hotfix 1.3.2 on Oct 29, 2026, "The Grey Standard" for 6,000 Intel at Clearance Level 15. The outfit once given for linking an IOI Account is now called "Heritage Tailoring". The Nintendo Switch 2 Version adds the GoldenEye Suit on Mar 18, 2027, and "Midnight Recon" has no announced unlock as of Nov 4, 2026.

"The Grey Standard" and "Heritage Tailoring": what changed in 1.3.2?

Update 1.3.0 (Oct 1, 2026) offered an outfit called "The Grey Standard" to everyone who linked the game to an IOI Account by Nov 1, 2026. Some players did not get it, which Hotfix 1.3.1 fixed on Oct 7. Then Hotfix 1.3.2 on Oct 29 changed the names: the outfit handed out for the IOI Account is now "Heritage Tailoring", with its own name and description, and stays in the inventory of anyone who claimed it. "The Grey Standard" is now a different outfit, earned in TacSim for 6,000 Intel at Clearance Level 15, with no IOI Account needed. So if your IOI Account outfit changed name after Oct 29, nothing was lost.

How do TacSim unlocks work?

Every TacSim reward has a Clearance Level and an Intel price. Your Clearance Level rises with the XP from TacSim challenges, and the challenges also pay Intel; once you reach the level, you spend the Intel. "Observant Spy", "Leasure Beam" and "First Class" cost nothing once the level is reached. TacSim needs an online connection. The full system, and the weapons sold the same way, are on TacSim and Weapons.

Can you wear unlocked outfits in the story?

Now you can. At launch, GamingBolt reported that the story's outfits were set and collected outfits could be worn only in TacSim. Since Oct 1, 2026, New Game Plus adds Mission Warderobe (IOI's spelling): open the journal during a New Game+ playthrough, change outfits and restart from a checkpoint. IOI's Oct 8 post says your unlocked outfits "come with you". Photo Mode is the way to show them off; see Photo Mode.

The Deluxe extras that are not outfits

The Deluxe content also has a weapon skin, Agent's Mark, and the Gleaming Pack of four gold gadget skins: the Gleaming Lighter, Earphones, Dart Gun and Pen. The Microsoft Store lists a Gleaming Phone instead of the Dart Gun, and Insider Gaming and IOI's Switch 2 post say Dart Gun. The Legacy Edition adds a Golden Gun weapon skin. Those belong to Gadgets and Weapons.
