M, Q and Moneypenny

25:03 In 007 First Light the three MI6 regulars are played by Priyanga Burford (M), Alastair Mackenzie (Q) and Kiera Lester (Moneypenny), all named in the end credits (Shacknews). M runs MI6 and brings Bond into her revived 00 program; Q gives him his gadgets in the Q-Lab; Moneypenny, whose first name is Eve, keeps him connected to headquarters. All three are new versions of the characters for the game's origin story, not the film actors. Story twists are kept under the heading that says "Spoilers".

Who plays M in 007 First Light?

0:12 Priyanga Burford plays M, whom Xbox Wire calls "ever-commanding" (Xbox Wire). IO Interactive says she "sees Bond as a potential agent who can take control of desperate situations" (IOI and Amazon MGM Studios). She summons Bond after Iceland, puts him into her 00 training program in Malta, and later suspends the recruits' exams to send them after the rogue agent 009 (Beebom). In Malta she tells Bond that THEIA gave him less than a 1% chance of success in Iceland (Into Indie Games). An Intel collectible in Wave of the Future is her "M Profile" (PowerPyx).

Who plays Q in 007 First Light?

4:05 Alastair Mackenzie plays Q (Shacknews). His domain is the Q-Lab at MI6, where Bond equips gadgets at the gadget table (PowerPyx); its rooms include Q-01 Gym, Q-03 Stress Testing and Q-07 Wearables. In The Needle's Eye Q hands Bond his watch, and before The Past Never Dies Bond tests the Laser Strap and the Flash Mine in the Q-Lab (Into Indie Games; Into Indie Games). In Time to Die he helps Bond learn to tie a bow tie (Into Indie Games). An Intel item on his desk, "Driving Gloves (Q)", is a collectible (PowerPyx). See Gadgets.

Who plays Moneypenny in 007 First Light?

2:10 Kiera Lester plays Moneypenny (Shacknews). Her first name, Eve, comes from a collectible, "Wallet (Eve Moneypenny)" (PowerPyx). In Malta she gives Bond the keys to his safehouse for six months (Into Indie Games). In the field she is his line to MI6: in Uninvited she tracks the sniper who attacked him to a Kensington museum, and in Time to Die she names the three people he must tag (Into Indie Games; Into Indie Games). The first patch, 1.0.1 (May 28, 2026), fixed a crash in the Bond and Moneypenny cutscene after the title sequence (IO Interactive).

What is THEIA?

THEIA is MI6's artificial intelligence, the system that rates Bond's odds and later finds 009's location for M (Into Indie Games; Into Indie Games). Where it came from is part of the story's twist; see the spoilers below and Nicholas Webb.

5:29 Skip this section if you have not finished the game. When the mission at Webb Industries comes back without evidence, M sends Bond on a black op to Vietnam, and Q equips him (Into Indie Games). In Man of the Hour M grants Sir Nicholas Webb immunity and sidelines Bond, who goes rogue by stealing a Q-Watch from Stress Testing with three of Q's fingerprints (Into Indie Games). THEIA turns out to be Webb's creation, and its hidden failures are behind the plot (GamingBolt). In For England, Damien Webb, in an armored suit, stabs Moneypenny and takes THEIA's core; Q gives Bond a special edition Q-Watch for the final fight (Into Indie Games). The game does not say whether Moneypenny survives (GamingBolt). At the end M offers Bond the number 001, and he chooses 007 (Beebom).
