The recommended specifications raise the processor to an Intel Core i5 13500 or Ryzen 5 7600 and the graphics card to an RTX 3060 Ti or RX 6700 XT, with the same 16 GB of RAM and 80 GB SSD. The game is Steam Deck Verified since Jul 27, 2026. Path tracing, added on Sep 15, 2026, needs far more: IOI's guidance starts at a GeForce RTX 5070.

Steam gives no resolution or frame rate for either tier, and IOI has not published higher tiers for 1440p or 4K without path tracing. An SSD is required at both tiers, so the game should not be installed on a hard disk.

Can I run 007 First Light?

Compare your PC with the table. As a rough guide: a GTX 1660 or RX 5700 is the floor, a desktop graphics card from 2019, and a six-core processor from the same years with 16 GB of memory goes with it. The recommended RTX 3060 Ti or RX 6700 XT is a mid-range card from 2020 and 2021. Below the minimum, DLSS or FSR upscaling can help (PC Performance and Path Tracing); without an SSD, the game's requirements are not met at all.

Did IOI change the requirements?

Yes. IOI first published PC specifications in January 2026, then corrected them after inconsistencies were spotted in the original list (Engadget, Apr 8, 2026). The figures above are the ones on the Steam page as of Nov 4, 2026. IOI's own explanation of the mistake was not read for this page.

What does path tracing need?

0:26 Path tracing is a separate, much heavier mode for GeForce RTX cards. IOI's guidance in update 1.2.2 (Sep 25, 2026):

IOI advises DLSS Super Resolution on Auto with Multi Frame Generation from 2x to 6x. Settings, fixes and the hotfixes that steadied path tracing are on PC Performance and Path Tracing. A PC that cannot run it can still see it through GeForce NOW Ultimate.

Does 007 First Light run on Steam Deck?

19:12 Yes. IOI announced on Jul 27, 2026 that the game is Steam Deck Verified, Valve's top rating, meaning it runs with the Deck's controls and screen out of the box. IOI did not give a frame rate or settings for it in the sources read. Before the rating, Mortismal Gaming's May 29, 2026 review found it ran "pretty good" on the Deck, with "a solid 30 to 50 FPS" most of the time on low settings.
