AllThings. How does not say which four buttons carry the gadgets. Creators' videos show a few more: in IGN's May 27, 2026 stealth guide (the clip above), Bluff is Circle on PS5 or B on Xbox, and the quiet dash between covers is R1 or RB; in Boomstick Gaming's May 26, 2026 tips video, the grapple that grabs an enemy is the right trigger, or E on a PC keyboard. No source read gives the buttons for Instinct, Focus or takedowns. IOI's own patch notes refer to inputs by name only: a Focus input, a Flip input for inspected objects, a "Special Weapon" action and Photo Mode on a bindable button (Photo Mode).
Remapping and control settings
Can I Play That? found full button remapping with several presets, toggles for running, aiming and other held actions, and automatic jumping, vaulting and climbing while running. GamingBolt's pre-launch list adds deadzones, sensitivity and camera inversion; Boomstick Gaming's tips video (the clip above) shares a controller setup built on them, a linear aim response curve with separate camera and aim sensitivities. Update 1.3.0 (Oct 1, 2026) made several control fixes: it clarified the Customize options in the Mouse & Keyboard settings, fixed rebound gadget inputs not updating their Q-Lens icons, stopped the Q-Lens resetting your aim with mouse and keyboard, made Instinct activate from a press rather than only a tap, and fixed button prompts showing the wrong controller when two are connected. The rest of the options are on Accessibility.
Controller support on PC and Steam Deck
The PC version takes a controller: IOI's 1.1.0 notes fixed cinematics speeding up after unpausing with a controller on PC, and the game has been Steam Deck Verified since Jul 27, 2026. On PS5 it supports DualSense vibration and trigger effects and Remote Play, and is playable without them. Hardware and settings are on PC System Requirements and PS5 and Xbox Performance Modes; the Switch 2 version's controls are not yet published (Nintendo Switch 2 Version).

Combat and TakedownsCombat in 007 First Light mixes free-flowing hand-to-hand (punches, grabs, parries, side-steps, throws and environmental slams) with gunplay that opens only once Bond earns License to Kill. Focus slows time for precise shots, and takedowns can be silent or loud.
